Every trip departs from the sheltered Funchal marina, located in the heart of the city — no early-morning drives to remote ports. Within 15 minutes of leaving the dock you're surrounded by open ocean, with the dramatic cliff-lined southern coast of Madeira stretching behind you. The crew knows exactly where dolphins and whales gather, which sea caves are worth visiting, and how to read the weather so guests are always safe and comfortable.
Divine Boats caters to private groups, family celebrations, corporate outings and honeymoon adventures alike. The 8-hour full-day charter is a Madeira classic — snorkelling in hidden bays, dolphin watching, hot lunch on board, and a leisurely return as the sun starts to dip toward the horizon. For a shorter taste of the ocean, the 3-hour trip delivers everything essential: open sea, wildlife sightings, and a welcome drink on the water.

Marina do Funchal — Madeira's Ocean Gateway
Divine Boats departs from Marina do Funchal, the heart of Funchal's waterfront and one of the most visited spots on the island. The marina sits in the sheltered bay of Funchal, protected by two long breakwaters and home to private yachts, charter vessels and the occasional transatlantic liner. Check-in requires no journey across town — the marina is a 5-minute walk from most central Funchal hotels, directly on the seafront promenade.
The Atlantic off Madeira's south coast is one of the world's richest marine environments. Resident sperm whales are present year-round, and common dolphins gather in pods of hundreds. From June to October, blue whales, fin whales and sei whales pass through on migration. The warm current running along the island's southern shore also draws yellowfin tuna, marlin and wahoo — making it equally popular for fishing. The waters near Cabo Girão, the highest sea cliff in Europe at 580 metres, are a favourite destination on full-day charters.
Snorkelling stops at the Garajau Marine Reserve (15 minutes east by sea) and the hidden sea caves near Ponta do Garajau rank among the finest in the Atlantic — crystal-clear, calm and filled with parrotfish, grouper and moray eels.
